$20 million for jobs and economic development a unique opportunity for Indi
Independent Member for Indi Cathy McGowan is encouraging entrepreneurs, business and communities to apply for funding in North East Victoria’s $20 million share of the governments’ Regional Jobs and Infrastructure Package.
An information session will be held at 2.30pm on 31 August at Mansfield MACE.
“Indi has so much to offer in manufacturing, tourism and agriculture, and the community is bursting with ideas. This is a unique opportunity to access a big funding boost to deliver economic growth and sustainable employment,” Ms McGowan said.
Applications will need to align with the local investment plan developed by the local planning committee which covers the Hume and Goulburn Valley regions.
“The committee has used its considerable local knowledge and connections to look at whole of region growth industries including agriculture, manufacturing, tourism and aged health care,” Ms McGowan said.
“The plan sets out a strategy to make sure the program goes beyond individual grants to provide sustainable economic development opportunities.”
Applications close on 19 October 2017. Ms McGowan said she was looking forward to seeing innovative proposals to enable Indi to reach its full potential.
The plan is available on the Regional Jobs and Investment Packages (RJIP) website
