$1,685 for Wodonga Services Club from Veteran and Community Grants Programme
Federal Independent Member for Indi Cathy McGowan has welcomed the provision of $54,640.58 for projects in Wodonga, Wahgunyah and Corryong under Round 2 of the Veteran and Community Grants Programme.
The Wodonga Services Club Inc will receive $1,685 to purchase a defibrillator.
“I was thrilled to be able to confirm this grant with president, Mr Steve Griffiths,” Ms McGowan said.
“This money supports an important project that will make a difference to the lives of members who access activities, programs and services at the club.
“I congratulate everyone associated with the Wodonga Services Club for their work in realising this project and wish them well in continuing to support their members’ wellbeing.”
The Veteran and Community Grants Programme provides seed funding for those project that promote a healthy and quality lifestyle for members of the veteran community while assisting them to remain living independently in their own homes. The programme also funds initiatives that support carers and improve access to community services.
