Cathy McGowan welcomes new staff
Independent Member for Indi Cathy today welcomed four new staff members to her team.
“I am delighted to welcome the new and expanding team and excited about all the work we will be able to do for Indi,” Ms McGowan said.
The new staff members are:
Chief of Staff: Di Thomas – Di was previously the Editor at the Shepparton News and has recently completed her law degree. She is also a former Editor of The Border Mail. Di lives in Albury and will travel between the three offices, but will be primarily based at the Wangaratta office.
Parliamentary & Policy Adviser: Jeremy Mickle – Jeremy has been in the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet working in the Indigenous Affairs Group, Fiscal Policy and COAG strategy teams. He has also worked with the Department of Infrastructure. Jeremy lives in Canberra and will be based at the APH office. He will travel to the electorate when Parliament is not sitting.
Major Projects & Policy Adviser: Georgina Curtis – Georgina’s most recent role was with Alpine Shire Council – HVP Plantations – developing and delivering community and government engagement projects. She was previously the Government and Community Engagement Manager for Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food and she has had previous roles in the Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet. Georgina lives in Bright and will be based out of the Wodonga office.
Media & Communications: Jane Still – Jane’s recent roles have included Communications Coordinator at Benalla Rural City Council and Greater Shepparton City Council; and Communications and Fundraising Manager Anglican Overseas Aid. Jane lives in Benalla and will be based at the Wangaratta office.
Wodonga Office Managers Christine Thorpe and Karen Anderson have also started their roles in recent weeks.
