Physical borders like those created by the Murray River are easily crossed, but the invisible borders created by governments can be difficult to negotiate


  • Young people and their parents have highlighted the anomalies facing learner and probationary drivers crossing the border between Wodonga and Albury. Cathy has proposed a working group bringing together Federal and State Members to fix the problem.
  • Lobbied the Government on behalf of Rutherglen winemakers on changes to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), and asked the Council for the Australian Federation to investigate the potential for a national RSA certificate

  • Asked the Government to investigate the restriction on trade preventing Victorian wine sellers from selling wine at New South Wales farmers markets
