Independent Member for Indi Cathy McGowan is calling on people to have their say on the NBN rollout in North East Victoria.
The Joint Standing Committee on the National Broadband Network, of which Ms McGowan is a member, is holding an inquiry to review the rollout. Ms McGowan is encouraging people to make a submission about their experience.
“Rural and regional Australians are not being served well by the NBN rollout,” Ms McGowan said.
“The process has been fraught with problems in Indi. I receive more calls to the office about NBN and telecommunications than any other issue.
Ms McGowan, who has spoken frequently on the issue in Parliament and made many representations to Telstra and NBN Co, said the inquiry was a chance for community input.
Ms McGowan will use the information from submissions to inform further action on the NBN rollout on behalf of Indi.
