Public Information Forums on the Rail Track
The CEO of the Australian Rail Track Corporation (who oversee the Melbourne to Albury rail line, among others) to come to Indi to discuss the progress being made on the rail track.
The ARTC will be joined with representatives from V/Line who will hold a series of public information sessions at the Albury, Benalla and Wangaratta train stations.
With massive works currently underway on the track in our region, this is a fantastic opportunity for people to come along and hear for themselves what the future holds for our line.
The current work underway in Indi is called the Ballast Rehabilitation Program (BRP), which will eventually lead to the removal of speed limits on the track.
Along with the CEO, John Fullerton, the manager of the BRP will be on hand to discuss the process with the public. Representatives from V/Line will also be present to discuss their plans going forward as well.
Everyone is encouraged to attend and learn about the future of our rail line. There will be information displays and it is a good chance to respectfully discuss the ongoing track works with V/Line, the ARTC, the local state MPs and Cathy McGowan.
