Sir John Monash departure to WWI - centenary afternoon tea, Bright

Sir John Monash is one of our most revered military figures. But did you know he left for war in October 1914 after holidaying at Mt Buffalo Chalet from the Alpine region to Melbourne? Tim Fischer is speaking at a commemorative function in Bright about Sir John Monash and his wife visiting the North East before he ventured into WWI. Tim has researched extensively on Australia's revered war hero and written a book titled Maestro John Monash to be launched next month.

Community members are welcome to attend to hear a fascinating insight into Sir Monash's connection with the area.
