Local, Independant and Effective

Talking About Education

Posted June 10, 2013

As the campaign gets underway Cathy has decided to set up a campaign diary where we will keep you up to date with what she is doing and who she is meeting throughout the electorate.

Last week was a busy week and the main activity was a meeting with the Sandhurst Schools Education Board in Myrtleford on Thursday. Having been a chair of the Council of Catholic Education in Wodonga for 5 years, she also volunteers as a class room mate for Frayne College and Southern Rise Primary schools. As well as talking about the Voice for Indi report, the members of the Board also discussed the potential of the Gonski plan on small rural primary schools in the region.

On Friday Cathy met up with a variety of supporters in towns from the northern part of the electorate to discuss issues that were affecting their communities. That evening she headed down to the the regular CFA monthly meal, not only for some delicious food, but also to meet the local volunteers and their families.

This weekend she will be heading to the winery to participate in the annual Grape Stomp. Wish her luck!
