Vocational innovation in Indi on display for Minister’s visit 1-2 May
Local training networks NELLEN and COMPACT Albury will present the challenges and opportunities in employment and training to Assistant Minister for Vocational Education and Skills the Hon Karen Andrews. Minister Andrews will visit Wodonga on 1 and 2 May. NELLEN CEO Bev Hoffmann invited the Minister to visit during a stint as a volunteer in Cathy’s Canberra office.
Regions deserve a proper process for decentralisation
Regions will only benefit from decentralisation of the public service if a proper process is followed. Cathy will call for a national inquiry into any proposed decentralisation when parliament resumes.

Singapore High Commissioner visit to North East Victoria a chance to share renewable energy solutions

The visit by the High Commissioner of Singapore His Excellency Mr Kwok Fook Seng to North East Victoria was an extraordinary opportunity for building relationships between Indi and Singapore.
Landcare Leadership group
Congratulations to the participants and organisers of the Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program for the Landcare Leadership meeting in Rutherglen this week. Cathy, who was the guest speaker, stressed the importance of community leadership.
