Honour a Woman - Queen’s Birthday Honours an opportunity to consider women’s achievements
“Congratulations to those who will receive awards on the Queen’s Birthday! While many women will be duly honoured, women are still underrepresented in our national awards system. In 2016, women made up 31 per cent of recipients. As an Ambassador for the Honour a Woman campaign, I am asking people to consider nominating a woman for next year’s Order of Australia awards. That’s the best way to make sure women are represented at 50/50 by 2020. ” - Cathy
