Regional policy to top meeting agenda with Prime minister

Holding the Prime Minister to his promise of a regional deal for Albury Wodonga, the Government’s response to the Regions at the Ready report, and opportunities for assistance for storm-damaged areas at Tarrawingee, Everton and Eldorado are on the agenda for a meeting between Cathy and Prime Minister Scott Morrison next Tuesday.

Childcare centres re-open in Indi

Wodonga TAFE and Towong Shire have committed to reopening childcare centres at Mitta Mitta, Bellbridge and Walwa this month. The outcome is an example of Cathy delivering as an independent with a local and effective response.

Edi Upper resident benefit from improved mobile coverage

Edi Upper residents are enjoying reliable mobile phone coverage for the first time thanks to a new mobile phone tower. Lobbying by communities and Ms McGowan has delivered 38 mobile phone towers to Indi as part of the Federal Government’s Mobile Black Spot Programme.

Youth mental health first aid for Indigo Shire residents

Sign up for a free youth mental health first aid course on 19 and 20th January to assist with the young people facing mental health challenges. The course is available to Indigo Shire parents and adults who work or volunteer closely with young people.

Have a say about Mental Health Royal Commission

Complete the survey by 27 January to help shape the terms of reference for the Victorian Government’s Royal Commission into Mental Health.
