Tintaldra residents benefit from improved mobile coverage
Federal Independent Member for Indi Cathy McGowan has welcomed improved mobile phone coverage for Tintaldra residents.
The new phone tower was switched on this month. Lobbying by communities and Ms McGowan has delivered 38 mobile phone towers to Indi as part of the Federal Government’s Mobile Black Spot Programme.
“Locals in Tintaldra, including Honor and Mark Auchinleck, and Mayor David Wortmann, are to be commended for working hard to ensure a tower was allocated in their town,” Ms McGowan said.
“Improved mobile phone coverage will strengthen safety, business opportunities, and connections between families, friends and social groups.
The mobile phone tower at Tintaldra is one of eight allocated to Towong Shire. Cathy celebrated improved mobile phone coverage at Cudgewa and Granya with the towns’ communities earlier this year.
